BUSINESS INCENTIVES
In partnership with the Louisiana Association of Planning and Development Districts and Louisiana Economic Development, the Acadiana Regional Development District offers business incentive assistance to individuals, government entities, and businesses.
Services provided include:
- Technical assistance and research
- Computerized mapping of enterprise zones
- Hosting of annual Business Incentives Briefing
(Due to overhead costs, some fees may apply for computerized maps.)
Business Incentives Programs offered through Louisiana Economic Development include:
- Quality Jobs Program—a refundable tax credit to encourage targeted businesses to locate in Louisiana, create quality jobs and to promote economic development.
- Industrial Property Tax Exemption—is Louisiana’s original incentive program, for capital investments, and is for MANUFACTURERS only.
- Restoration Tax Abatement—an economic development incentive to encourage the expansion, restoration, improvement, and development of existing commercial structures and owner-occupied residences in Downtown Development Districts, Economic Development Districts, or Historic Districts.
- Enterprise Zone Program - a jobs incentive program which creates Louisiana Income and Franchise tax credits and Sales/Use tax rebates to businesses that hire at least 35% of their new jobs with Louisiana residents from one of four target groups.
